Luis Fabianio was born in Campinas, Brazil on November 8th 1980. Fabiano’s talent was apparent from an early age, and he spent his youth career playing for local club, Ponta Pretas, before coming to the attention of the Sao Paolo football club.

Fabiano would spend a short spell at Sao Paolo before being loaned out to Ligue 1 side, Rennes. The move proved to be disastrous as the Brazilian failed to score a single goal for his new club. As a result, Luis Fabiano was soon sent back to the capital.
